Who We Serve

C.A.T.S serves young people with disabilities, who reside or receive rehabilitative/medical services in Virginia, who need assistive technology to assist with mobility, positioning and communication. This includes, but is not limited to, neuromuscular and orthopedic conditions that cause impaired function.

Our Mission

C.A.T.S. helps children with physical and developmental disabilities that affect movement, behavior, or communication have better health outcomes; participate more fully in school; engage socially; and achieve greater independence. We do this by refurbishing and redistributing donated assistive technology; educating pediatric clinicians, teachers, and caregivers; and advocating for responsive and responsible public health policy.

Delivering Results

Assistive technology allows a child with disabilities to play with friends and siblings, to have more opportunities for learning, and to be more independent. All of these can lead to a happier child and healthier families! Want to know more? View our current annual report!
