She was born in Portsmouth, Virginia and grew up in the western branch section of Chesapeake. Faith arrived two months premature and at approximately two years of age was diagnosed with a mild form of Cerebral Palsy. Throughout her childhood, she underwent multiple heel cord lengthening as well as eye surgeries, spent years in physical therapy, wore orthopedic braces, and had serial casting to improve her balance, coordination, and strength to promote functional independence. As a result, Faith has always been passionate about the field of physical therapy. Through her experiences, she learned to have compassion and an abundance of patience, as well as determination and resilience in pursuing her dreams.

Faith Lawson, LPTA, graduated from Tidewater Community College in Virginia Beach, Virginia in 2016 with an Associate Degree of Applied Science and received her license as an LPTA.
Faith has a unique view of pediatric physical therapy. She was born in Portsmouth, Virginia and grew up in the western branch section of Chesapeake. Faith excelled in high school, earning an Advanced Diploma from Western Branch High School. She was an active member of the National Honors Society.
After high school, Faith worked as a personal care attendant to 2 individuals with disabilities prior to pursuing a degree as a Physical Therapy Assistant. Following graduation, Faith briefly worked at a skilled nursing facility in Portsmouth serving the elderly population.
In 2017, Faith accepted a position as a Physical Therapist Assistant at St. Mary’s Home for Disabled Children where she is a “driving force” member of the physical therapy team.
In her spare time, Faith enjoys going to concerts/festivals, playing cornhole, taking a walk in the park with her dog, and spending quality time with friends/family.
