April 2024 | Quarterly Newsletter

Warmest Greetings of Spring!

As the season blooms, so does our excitement to share the remarkable strides made by C.A.T.S. in these past few months. Our journey is one filled with joy and immense gratitude, powered by the unwavering support of our donors. A heartfelt thank you for being an integral part of the C.A.T.S. family!

Your generosity and kindness have empowered families throughout the Commonwealth, providing them with vital adaptive technology services for their children, completely free of charge. As a gesture of our appreciation, we invite you to view the list of our valued donors for the first quarter of 2024 at www.atdevicesforkids.org.

In an uplifting start to 2024, C.A.T.S. has had the privilege of delivering over 1,340 assistive technology devices to 1,203 families across Virginia. This achievement would not have been possible without the heart and hard work of our volunteers. More than 500 dedicated individuals across the Commonwealth have lent their skills to refurbish adaptive equipment, preparing it for its next recipient. To each volunteer, we extend our deepest gratitude.

We warmly invite you to spend a few moments reading more about the essential services

C.A.T.S. provides to children facing physical, neuromuscular, and developmental challenges. Your continued support is a gift that enhances the lives of many.

Thank you once again for your generosity and belief in our mission. Together, we are creating a more inclusive society where all children can thrive and achieve their dreams, one device at a time.

By The Numbers

FAMILIES SERVED YEAR TO DATE

We are thrilled to share with you the incredible impact we’ve achieved together in the first quarter of 2024. Thanks to your unwavering support, Children’s Assistive Technology Service (C.A.T.S.) has served 330 families throughout Virginia, redistributing over 400 pieces of vital equipment valued at an astounding $535,000. This remarkable accomplishment underscores the profound difference we are making in the lives of children with disabilities and their families.

None of this would be possible without the collective effort of our community. To our donating families, financial donors, sponsors, grantors, therapists, volunteers, and supporters, we extend our deepest gratitude. Your generosity and dedication are the driving force behind our mission, and you are truly changing lives.

At C.A.T.S., our commitment is to ensure that children with physical, neurological, and developmental disabilities have access to the tools they need to thrive. Through your support, we are able to provide no-cost, refurbished adaptive mobility and communication equipment, empowering these children to achieve better health outcomes, participate fully in school and community activities, connect with loved ones, and cultivate independence.

Beyond equipment redistribution, our work extends to educating pediatric clinicians, teachers, and caregivers on the importance of assistive technology and promoting responsive and responsible public health policy. Together, we are not just providing equipment; we are fostering a community of support and advocacy that uplifts and empowers every child we serve.

As we reflect on our achievements in the first quarter, let us also look ahead with optimism and determination. There is still much work to be done, and we know that with your continued support, we can reach even greater heights and touch the lives of even more families in need.
