C.A.T.S. Roanoke receives funding for a Hub Scrub

Smith Mountain Lake Civitan Club has made a $20,455.00 donation to CATS for the purpose of providing a Hub Scrub to the location serving the Roanoke Valley in Moneta.   The Hub Scrub will greatly assist the work of CATS volunteers who clean and disinfect donations of gently used equipment coming from families whose children have outgrown it.  The Hub Scrub resembles a giant dishwasher for durable medical equipment, and allows for UV radiation for disinfecting.  Pictured L to R are Kimberly Tyson, Smith Mountain Lake Civitan President-elect Kimberly Tyson; John Naples, CATS Interim Executive Director; and Randy Camden, SML Civitan member and a board member of the Foundation for Children with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (FCIDD), which was the grantor for these funds.  The FCIDD also made a grant to CATS for the purchase of a transit van in 2019.
