Kids on the Move Expo-Roanoke and Sleepsafe Bed raffle winner

Congratulations to our worthy raffle winner at the Kids on the Move Expo held May 19 in Roanoke! Five year old Christian will be receiving an adaptive bed provided through the generosity of Al Flora at SleepSafe Beds.    The Expo was beautifully executed by event chairperson, Deanna Hodges, and CATS volunteers. Whil  e several therapists from near and far attended, only a handful of families came out in the soggy weather. Of course this paid off big for Christian’s family, who, as it happens, had been denied this very same bed by his health insurance.   As you can see, he had a great time at this event. Participating vendors, organizations and manufacturer representatives had wonderful new things to share, and we are planning Facebook posts for the coming week on each exhibitor to help them get their messages out. We owe these kind folks quite a lot—as for several years now they have consistently and willingly helped CATS with transportation, getting replacement parts, and providing opportunities for the children we serve.
