Hallowheels Celebration Featured on NBC12 – Watch the Interview and Support the Cause!

We’re so excited to share that Hallowheels 2025 was featured on NBC12’s 12 On Your Side. The segment highlights the creativity, community, and heart behind our annual Hallowheels Celebration, where families design incredible adaptive costumes for children who use assistive technology — all to raise awareness and funds for Children’s Assistive Technology Service (C.A.T.S.).

This year’s celebration features some amazing creations — from a K-Pop demon hunter to a Wicked-themed costume and even a Target employee outfit — each one built with love, imagination, and inclusion in mind.

As Erika shared in the interview, “C.A.T.S. is a nonprofit organization that refurbishes durable medical equipment—wheelchairs, gait trainers, bath seats, things of that nature that children no longer need. We clean, refurbish, and inspect each item, then give it to families who need it, at zero cost.”

This life-changing equipment allows children to grow, play, and thrive safely at home, often bridging the gap for families waiting months for insurance approvals or costly new devices.

Erika, who has participated in Hallowheels for years, even shared a bit of her family’s story — including when her son Evan was featured on Jeopardy! after dressing as Alex Trebek for a past Hallowheels celebration. This year, the Jenkins family brings the magic of Frozen to life, reminding us all that joy and creativity know no bounds.
