A Heartfelt Thank You: C.A.T.S. Celebrates ARC3 Gases’ Legacy of Giving
As the Children’s Assistive Technology Service (C.A.T.S.) reflects on the incredible support received in 2024, we are filled with immense gratitude for ARC3 Gases. Their generosity, rooted in a long-standing tradition of giving, has made a profound difference in our ability to serve children in need of assistive technology. This culture of philanthropy, carried forward from ARC3’s predecessor companies, continues to inspire and uplift communities across the Carolinas and Virginia.
ARC3 Gases’ commitment to charitable giving dates back to its founding companies: Machine and Welding Supply Co. in the Carolinas and Arcet Equipment Company in Virginia. Before their merger in 2013, both companies had established traditions of choosing a charity every Christmas, encouraging employees to contribute, and combining their donations with significant corporate gifts. This tradition of generosity was seamlessly integrated into ARC3’s identity after the merger, ensuring that the spirit of giving remained a cornerstone of the company’s values.
ARC3 Gases’s 2024 charitable efforts raised an astounding $16,711 for C.A.T.S., a total that reflects the incredible generosity of the company and its employees. Bill Fennell, Operations Director at Arc3 Gases, presented this donation to Lonnie Snyder, a C.A.T.S. board member at their annual holiday breakfast in December.
These contributions are more than just numbers; they represent hope and opportunity for children who rely on assistive technology to thrive. The funds have already begun making a tangible impact, enabling us to provide critical services and equipment to families in need.
At C.A.T.S., we were deeply moved to be part of this tradition. Hearing the history of ARC3 Gases’s charitable giving and seeing the heartfelt participation of their team reinforced just how special this organization is. It’s not just about the financial support—it’s about the spirit of community and compassion that ARC3 Gases embodies.
