CATS Receives Funding for a Van!

The Smith Mountain Lake Civitan Club recently presented a check to Children’s Assistive Technology Services (CATS) for $23,885. The money will be used by CATS to purchase a second van which will serve the Charlottesville to Richmond to Norfolk corridor, while the first van purchased through Roanoke Valley Gives 2018 will serve the western side of the state. The funds for the purchase of the van were from the Foundation for Children with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (FCIDD), affiliated with the Chesapeake District of Civitan International. The SML Civitan Club mission is to serve those in need with an emphasis on those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
