The Smith Mountain Lake Civitan Club recently presented a check to Children’s Assistive Technology Services (CATS) for $23,885. The money will be used by CATS to purchase a second van which will serve the Charlottesville to Richmond to Norfolk corridor, while the first van purchased through Roanoke Valley Gives 2018 will serve the western side of the state.

CATS-Roanoke needs your help in October! As one of the eight charities selected to participate in the Smith Mountain Lake Charity Home Tour, we need over 120 volunteers to hold up our end of the bargain on October 5th, 6th and 7th.

The Governor\’s Volunteerism and Community Service Awards recognize the significant contributions of Virginia citizens to the life and welfare of the Commonwealth and its people. On April 10, 2018, CATS Founder and President, Cathie Cummins, PT was presented with the award for Outstanding Senior Volunteer for her work in creating the CATS program and growing it to serve children with disabilities throughout Virginia.
